South Shore Art Center Update re: COVID-19

South Shore Art Center sends our thoughts and best wishes to you, our wonderful artist community.

Per Governor Baker’s mandate, the Art Center will be closed to the public until Monday, May 4.

                • All classes, open studios, Learning Labs, school visits, receptions/parties, and special events scheduled                   during this time have been canceled or postponed. We will make every effort to schedule make-up                   classes and will be in touch with faculty and students.

                • ART Off the Wall, which was scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, has been postponed until a later date.                   Stay tuned!

At South Shore Art Center, we know this is a challenging and isolating time. We also know that the arts can provide relief and inspiration during the most difficult experiences. We will endeavor to bring our exhibitions to you through social media; and we are examining the possibility of hosting online classes to assist with creative journeys.

We hope to see you at South Shore Art Center later this Spring. Until then, we wish you good health and spirits. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at
