RENEE CAOUETTE

B.A. American University of Paris

Caouette has lived, and studied between New York City and Paris, France.

Her work, “My Family’s Personalities Through Still Life”, explores the idea that we are all extensions of ourselves; the environments, objects, and people we surround ourselves with are metaphorical “self portraits” that describe who we are as individuals. Her goal as an artist is to successfully combine classical traditions of fine art with contemporary ideology.

Caouette has exhibited throughout the United States and France, including Paris, New York City, Boston, Vermont, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Valerie Forte Vitali

Valerie Forte Vitali

VALERIE FORTE VITALI
M.Ed. Lesley University

Vitali’s oil paintings begin as a response to a visual experience, a natural image or event occurring in time. She is drawn to the natural surroundings of the New England landscape, the people who sit in the light and shadows, the objects of sentiment that have filled her family’s attics and tool sheds. In her teaching she attempts to inspire involvement with the paint, in addition to technique, which involves seeing, experimentation and discovery.
Vitali is a Gallery Artist at South Shore Art Center.
