Blue Ribbon Members' Show

Opening Reception: Thursday, July 18, 6-8 pm
South Shore Art Center's Blue Ribbon Members' Show is particularly important to us because it represents everything we stand for: community united in creativity. Our Biue Ribbon Show is one of two shows annually at which our members are guaranteed an opportunity to showcase their work. Having the word 'member' in the exhibition's title is intentional; this is a member benefit - with participation limited to Art Center members in good standing.
Blue Ribbon Members' Show Dates:
July 18 - August 24
Opening Reception: Thursday, July 18 from 6-8 pm
STIPULATIONS:
• South Shore Art Center receives 40% of the purchase price.
• Artists may choose to list a work as Not For Sale.
• Work must have been created within the past three years.
• No entry may be withdrawn prior to the close of the exhibition.
• No pricing changes will be allowed after acceptance.
• Living artists only.
• Work that is copied or done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible.
• Entries must not have been previously exhibited at SSAC or the SSAC Arts Festival.
SPECIFICATIONS: Two-dimensional work must be professionally presented and firmly wired. No sawtooth hangers, no sandwich frames. 3-D work should include a sturdy pedestal.
If your membership has lapsed, we will ask that you renew when dropping off your work.
FEES
There is non-refundable $15 fee per entry / one submission per member
DROP OFF:
Thursday, July 11 thru Saturday, July 13 : 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
at South Shore Art Center,
119 Ripley Road, Cohasset, MA
LABELS:
Please label the back of your work with the following information:
• Full Name
• Title of work
• Dimensions of unframed work
• Price
PICK UP:
August 26, 27 & 28, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
LIABILITY
I understand that South Shore Art Center will insure work accepted to the extent of 60% of the artist’s stated value while the work is in the Art Center’s custody and control.
AGREEMENT
Submission to the Members' Blue Ribbon Show constitutes an agreement with all conditions of this show. South Shore Art Center reserves the right to photograph or use a submitted image for publicity purposes. South Shore Art Center reserves the right to reject any work not resembling the submitted entry or work that is not ready to be shown according to the aforementioned specifications.

4 Blue Ribbons, with $100 cash awards
