This exhibition shows the participating artist's communicative murals, street scenes, and fine art.  The exhibition will also include young artist Desmond Herzfelder, a Colombian-American citizen, and a recent addition, Felipe Ortiz, another Colombia-American from the Boston area. These resourceful artists have made successful careers for themselves. In addition to their street art, some have designed product lines which include skateboards, shoes, jackets and other items. Many are educators. All are talented designers and fine artists committed to working with communities to enrich the life experience of the people.

In 2015 my Curatorial Assistant, Desmond Herzfelder (also my art student since he was 8 years old) initiated the idea that we travel to Bogotá, Colombia to create a mural project in conjunction with underprivileged children at the Hogar associated with CNG, the school his father attended.  While at the Hogar, we worked with teacher Diana Londoño, who is an accomplished international artist. Desmond visits Colombia frequently with his family and recorded his impressions in a series of paintings as well as a large mural project, Colombia Meditations. Through his interest in murals and street art, my own interest in this genre was heightened and it grew into the basis of this exhibition.
