Courses

South Shore Art Center offers 120 classes annually for students of all ages and learning levels – from foundational art classes to new learning opportunities in different and emerging media.

Adult Education

Discover the world of art through our engaging adult education classes, designed to foster creativity and skill-building. This is a great opportunity to express yourself artistically in a supportive environment.

Youth Education

Our faculty members are experienced and creative art teachers who love to explore the world of art with children and young adults. Students ages 15+ are able to enroll in adult courses.

Current Exhibitions

South Shore Art Center installs 18 exhibitions each year at our three onsite galleries. All exhibitions are vetted through a rigorous review process run by our Exhibitions Committee. Our onsite gallery hours are Monday – Saturday: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Arts Festival

On Father’s Day Weekend every year, SSAC hosts a three-day arts festival on Cohasset Common. Typically, over 25,000 people from the South Shore and beyond attend this magnificent event at which they encounter over 400 works created by artists from across the nation for the juried and members’ exhibitions under the main tent. SSAC is now planning our 71st annual Arts Festival which will refocus on art, our craft exhibitors and our community.
